Why a life of the spirit?
We live in a time of great significance. Humans are being called upon to make a huge shift
in thinking, from "what can I get from life" to "what is life asking me to become at this
time?" The evolutionary life force is mandating that we drop our self-involved, ego-centric
orientation in favor of enlightened self interest which benefits others as well as self. Great
spiritual masters, past and present, have urged us to treat others as we wish to be treated.
The time is now -- or maybe never!
What's called for is greater self-mastery. We must wake up, uncover and resolve the areas
of our unconscious behavior that do not serve us and allow our true nature to reveal itself
through and as us.

We're here to share our life story
We believe we are all spiritual beings having a human experience. Yet most of us spend
virtually all our time preoccupied with the realm of form and circumstances, showing little
interest in the formless world of spirit.
The goal of this site is to introduce you to worship services, workshops, classes, counseling
and other sources which will accelerate your spiritual journey. We begin at the beginning --
"above all else, know thyself". As Buddha said, we must fully understand ourselves before
we can give up our little selves in favor of a Life of the Spirit.
We have been on a spiritual journey together for over 48 years, learning from each other as
well as contemporary spiritual teachings, including, new thought, metaphysics, Self
Realization, Course in Miracles, Four Agreements, Nature of the Soul, "The Work", Creative
Initiative Foundation, Enneagram and Science of Mind, Dalia Lama - to name most but not
all of what we studied.
From all this we have distilled a spiritual point of view which works for us and which we
have begun sharing with others from our base at Center for Spiritual Living in San Jose, CA
